What a nice day for our trip. We didn't stop again until we got into Florida. Our first stop there was at a Indian River stand in St. Augestine to get Honey Bells oranges and Ruby Red grapefruits. Oh man are they sweet and juicy. They let you try before you buy, Our second stop in Florida was to get something to eat and use the bathroom.
Our next stop was Flagler Beach. We parked and walked the beach and enjoyed the ocean. The sand is quit a bit finer then the sand at Myrtle Beach and the sea shells are alot different to. The water is warmer by far. It was like bath water.
After Flagler Beach we headed to Ormond Beach
Comming in to Ormond Beach
Down Ormond Beach further
Comming into Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach
For all of you that don't know you can ride your car right on the beach and lay out right there behind your car or closer to the water. You can drive 16 miles on the beach. You have to purchase a pass for $5.00. You can come and go all day long with that pass. I thought that was pretty neat. The beach of course was packed with spring breakers. It was just so beautiful there.
Our pass for the beach
Ice cream truck with music riding along on the beach
We had a real good time on the beach. The day was full of sunshine and warmth once again. I wouldn't have missed this day for nothing. After we left the beach we went to a souviner shop and got Dan got a tee shirt and I got a mug for cold drinks. Then it was time to hit the road. We got into Georgia and stopped at a subway but it was packed with kids so we left and stopped a little ways down and got gas and subway. It started getting dark and we were about as beat as could be. I tried getting a picture of the bridge when we got into Charleston, SC but it did not turn out to good.
We got back to our hotel at 11:30 PM. We took our showers and unwinded for a bit and then hit the bed. We had a beautful but long day. End of day #11 Day #12 to follow.
